The Strange Case of The School and Chocolate Milk
There has been this campaign about school, child obesity and chocolate milk. I don’t know about you, but I used to love chocolate milk when I was a kid. That is, until I found out how chocolate milk was made. When I was young and hanging out on my mermaids printed rug. I used to get so excited when my Mom would bring me chocolate milk. But I once saw a TV special on how it is made. Did you know there is some gross and unsafe chemicals which adds the chocolate flavor? not to mention the extra fat and sugar.
The school think that when presented with flavored milk that the kids will drink more. First off I do not think “milk does the body good”. We are the only creature that drink another mammal’s milk. That’s kind of weird. huh? Cow’s milk has been known to cause allergies and other aliments. I actually stick to soy milk myself. The debate on this blog post is rather interesting though. I wonder how far it will go.
