Ensuring a Cold and Flu Free Christmas for Your Child

Christmas is one of the best times of the year; however, most people forget that it’s also flu and cold season. Children, above everyone, are prone to getting colds and flu. Recently, my daughter had to stay wrapped up in her mermaids toddler bedset all day and I had to take time off work because she had the flu. I don’t take it too easily when my children get sick so I was almost panicking when I found out that she was running a high fever.

One of the best ways to combating the onslaught of the virus this season is by preventing it from even taking hold. For instance, you can go ahead and wash your hands every once in awhile. Encourage this practice in your children as well. Washing the hands is a proven way to killing off bacteria and germs that they might pick up anywhere. Another thing that you can do is to feed your children healthy foods. Sometimes, it can prove to be challenging when encouraging them to down their veggies, but it will be well worth it when the time comes. They will get a much stronger immune system and you won’t need to worry about infections. There are so many other tips out there. All you need to do is look for them and take heed, so you can keep your children flu-free.
