Flying With Children for Holidays? Check With Airline Company For New Rules

A friend’s toddler still has some attachment issues and couldn’t go to sleep without his fly away pillow. When the boy needs his nap, he would always look for it and when it isn’t there, he would get cranky and nothing could come him down. So, my friend and his wife would take this pillow everywhere, in case the little boy needs it. It’s never been washed because I was told that one time they did clean it, the little boy thought the pillow smelled really odd and that didn’t feel right to him. They all couldn’t get to sleep that night.

Since they are traveling for New Year’s that would mean they would be bringing along this pillow, too. I warned my friend to check with the airline company when it comes to bringing stuff in the plane, as there seems to be new rules for this again. The airline companies have become more strict and with people filling the airports for the holidays, rules should be a lot more unbending. Their airline company might not allow them to bring any blankets or pillows, except to use what’s on the plane. So, I had told my friend to be extra prepared for this.

If you are traveling with children this New Year’s then I suggest you do the same.
