How Effective is Same Sex Parenting?
The family dynamics have already changed in the new millennium. Raising kids is no longer black and white. Today, it is as colorful as owning a flowerland plush pillow. The child’s parents can either be adoptive ones, of a different color or race or culture. They can also be of the same sex — with kids either coming with two sets of mommies or two sets of daddies.
Is there any change in the way kids grow up, given these dynamics? Have the new family set up change the impact of raising kids these days? A recent study has shown that in cases of same sex parenting, children actually appear to do well and grow up healthy, mentally and emotionally.
Those that come in this same sex environment have better self-esteem and thus perform better at school. The research is proving that when it comes to raising a family, it isn’t about the gender at all; but the kind of loving, nurturing environment you can give to the children. Regardless of who they are or what their lifestyles are, a more active, hands-on and totally committed sets of parent would prove to be better at raising really functional kids of society. This put to light the importance, really of giving your kids love, attention and quality time.
