Keeping Children Entertained During the Snow

With another blizzard ramming its way through most of the east coast, it’s best to be prepared for anything. I was lucky enough to manage to get the groceries done on time, pretty much before the snow started falling heavily again. However, even though I have all the necessities intact, I still need to be a little creative when it comes to entertaining my children. School’s out because of the weather and it’s hard to keep children entertained indoors during these times. Since I don’t want them to be watching TV all day, I usually offer to read them a book of their choice, right beside the time to read revolving bookcase – girl, that I got for Melinda.

I think it also fosters a lot of bonding time with me and my children. Although my husband still has to drive out for work, he does come and bond with the children every time they let him off early. Other times, I encourage the kids to help me out when baking cookies or even cooking dinner. I think my eldest has taken a liking to cooking, he seems pretty at home in the kitchen, mixing all the ingredients and looking at what I’m doing. It’s pretty much an insane week at home, but a fun one nonetheless.
