Date Night

couple-holding-handsValentine’s Day is just a few days away. Are you and your spouse planning something to do together?

It’s going to be a huge family day for most because the occasion is a going to be on a Sunday, ergo, the kids are free from school obligations. But do take the time to spend at least a couple of hours with just your spouse that day. My husband and I are planning on a getaway, after making sure that the new Circus Entertainment Center we got for the kids room is set in place. We both need this time together, to reconnect and recommit; to enjoy each other’s company.

A survey has shown that couples who are happy together become better parents together. One way of doing this is to always make sure to spend time together as a couple. Bonding, without having to worry about the obligations of parenting once in a while, usually gives the relationship or the marriage a breath of fresh air. Essentially, that gives one contentment and peace and it will reflect in every aspect of your family life.

So, this weekend, take the time to romance the missus or the mister. Celebrate Valentine’s day with the kids if you like, but don’t forget to make time for your spouse, too.
