Getting Kids To Enjoy Valentine’s Day

For the weekend we decided to give the children a Valentine’s Day mini celebration. My friends and I decided to get our children together so that they can interact and play with each other. It was also a great excuse for us, the parents to be able to hang out and just have fun. We had to have a winter wonderland theme especially since not much of the snow has melted in our area. We made sure that they enjoyed the celebration by letting the children play fun games, as well as do simple little projects. For example, we had the children create a simple Valentine’s card for each family member. It was nice to see them present it and read the messages out loud in front. Moreover, we served up heart shaped cakes and desserts on the out of this world personalized meal time plate set, which served as a great and colorful piece.

All the children had fun and so did the adults. It was nice to just get together with friends especially since the snow pretty much deprived the children of seeing their playmates because school was out for some time. It was also a great way for them to get acquainted with what it means to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
