The Legality of an Induced Miscarriage

The other day, I was horrified to watch the news as they reported that a 6 month old fetus was dumped in a garbage can. They had no idea who the mother of the child was since they didn’t notice anybody doing anything unusual. It was quite disheartening to hear news like that. I can’t imagine anybody wanting to do that to their own children. Personally, it’s difficult for me to understand why mothers would ever do that to their children, I guess it’s because I value my children too much. I like to play with them and help them pick out their favorite cool skate twin sheet set, like I did with Michael. It’s hard to swallow the thought of abortion even if your child is still inside your stomach.

In conjunction to this, a new Utah law is making it illegal to induce a miscarriage. I agree with this, although it might be tough to really discern the mother’s true motives. Harming an innocent child that never asked to be placed in the situation that it is in should be prohibited everywhere. I feel that women should take more responsibility for their actions. If they get pregnant as a result of it, then there are other means like adoption instead of completely opting to kill an innocent child. Of course, that’s just me.
