Recycle Your Baby’s Stuff
I was packing up some stuff over the weekend as we are doing a bit of spring cleaning in the household and found this old Out Of This World Toddler Bedset my eldest used to sleep on while he was still a toddler. Memories of it made my eyes really misty. I can’t imagine how he ever fitted into those sheets when he’s almost as tall as I am now. I was supposed to put things away for my sister-in-law’s garage sale but now I’ve decided I’m going to keep this bed set and turn it into something else.
A friend of mine made a tapestry out of her children’s old clothes and now these hang by the hallway wall next to all the family pictures and I thought this is such a lovely idea. Another friend of mine made use of her baby’s old sheets and turned them into pillow cases that the kids, now a lot older, use until today. Their quite mismatched in the bedroom, but I’m sure for my friend, nothing beats the nostalgia and memories of it.
Do you have any clever ideas on how to recycle any of your baby’s items that they’ve now already grown out of?
