Using Breast Pumps while at Work

Many new moms have trouble looking for the right time to use breast pumps throughout their working day. Now, getting an all star sports clothestand/growth chart might be as simple as ordering online, but it is often tough to actually use a breast pump while at work. Although former Massachusetts governor, Jane Swift, may have gotten away with it. It’s often tougher for those who work in front of everybody else like fast food restaurants or factories.

However, things now have changed since a new health care bill that Congress has passed, now guarantees that lactating women can now have a personal “break time” so that they can use a breast pump for their breasts. They are guaranteed to be able to do this for an entire year after the child’s birth. There is also a stipulation that it should be done in ““a place, other than a bathroom, that is shielded from view and free from intrusion from co-workers and the public.”

Of course, this new bill doesn’t cover everyone. There are limitations, such as women who belong to a company that has 50 employees or lesser. There is also no suggestion on having a place where the women can store their pumped out breast milk while in the workplace. Anyway, the good thing is that something is being done about it. Hopefully, other pertinent details will be addressed pretty soon as well.
