Being the Favorite Parent

Whether you like to admit it or not, children do play favorites. This might not be as obvious at first but most parents who pay attention to their child closely knows that there is a favorite parent that their children would rather have to join them in playing in their firefighter table & 2 stool set. This might seem odd and a bit unfair, but children are children. Chances are, they would most likely favor the parent that is ever present.

On the other hand, parents also have this tendency to love “one child more than the other.” Although most parents would certainly deny this since obviously, as a parent you are not supposed to love one child more than you love your other child; however, it does happen. Of course, there will be a corresponding effect to each family member when this becomes obvious. Children that are less favored often rebel and feel unloved. Moreover, parents might not even realize that they are favoring one child over the other. It is important for a parent to know why it is necessary for a child to realize that the treatment has to be equal for each child.
