Study Show Leaving Crying Babies Can Cause Brain Damage
A friend of mine was in a bind the other day, after finding her baby’s Under Construction Toddler BedSet all very soiled from his constant crying that long night. My friend was trying this technique which supposes that you shouldn’t come to the babies defense and comfort once you hear the baby cry at night. You should let the child be and teach it to cope or see that they won’t be able to get everything by crying. While I agree that it’s best for kids to learn life skills, I’m not exactly sold on that idea myself.
Now, there is a study that shows that, if you leave your babies crying at night, there could be chances of brain damage developing because this raises the child’s stress level and could trigger it. Alarming isn’t it? And it totally negates the idea of one other psychologist saying that one shouldn’t coddle children at night when they cry, to instill discipline.
If I am a parent of a newborn or a baby, I would be very confused about these two stipulations myself. Which do you suppose is the right technique or the best technique? And what do you think are the advantages and disadvantages of it?
