Are Parents with Disabilities Capable of Properly Caring for a Child?
People with disabilities are often discriminated upon. Although this is absolutely wrong, there are others who cannot seem to understand that they some people with disabilities can function perfectly fine. Parents who suffer from disabilities are also heavily discriminated upon in more ways than one. Some naysayers are saying that parents with disabilities, for instance those who have a problem using their hands or arms, will be unable to do simple but necessary tasks like changing the diapers on a small child or maybe folding that mermaids twin kids duvet cover.
However, contrary to popular belief, most parents who do have disabilities are fully capable of functioning like a normal parent. They essentially learn to cope using their other faculties. They work to get by, for instance, even those who have cerebral palsy can function as a parent without any problems. Of course, there are certain challenges with becoming a disabled parent, but there are also plenty of great benefits to being one. The important thing is to not discriminate against disabled parents since they themselves know how to go ahead and take care of their own children.
