Prioritizing The Body More Than the Baby
For years, it was tough for my friend Angela to finally decide to get pregnant. She was a health buff and having a history of being overweight, she was hesitant to have to deal with all the weight she’ll gain during pregnancy. However, now, things have changed. In fact, she’s been shopping online and even got an olivia pink pillow as well as the entire set for her future child. It’s not unusual for women to be conscious about their weight. As we grow older, we tend to gain weight much easier. During pregnancy, this becomes even more true.
However, some women (most notably Jillian Michaels) have said that she prefers adoption over having a baby because she just “can’t do that” to her body. This struck a chord in a lot of people, but it can’t be helped if that’s what she prefers. Personally, I think that there’s something special about having your own child. As for the weight that you gain, if you are determined enough, you can definitely regain your body back. I don’t think that you need to sacrifice that joy of having your own child just so you won’t have to contend with the body weight.
