Dealing With an Addicted Child

Mothers often want nothing more but simply to protect their children. However, moms and parents do reach their breaking as well. There comes a point where they simply no longer know what to do. This is especially true for parents who have children that are addicted to drugs. My friend was suffering through this since she found out that her sister was a drug addict. She was telling me about the details when we were fixing my daughter’s dragonfly butterfly twin sheet set. Her own mother has been dealing with the problem and trying hard to understand her daughter. As a family they are trying to remain strong especially since recently she had an overdose and was rushed to the hospital. They are a planning an intervention, but they are not sure whether her sister will recognize her problem or not.

My friend’s mom has been blaming herself for what happened since she thinks that she was too strict which caused her child to rebel. Moreover, she feels that she never really addressed the problem before, which she feels she should have instead of letting it escalate to the situation it is in right now. It’s tough, but I am hoping and praying that my friend’s family will overcome this.
