Traveling With Toddlers
A friend based abroad recently went home for a visit and had to endure traveling for eight hours with a toddler in tow. It wasn’t so easy to do this. What made it worse was the kid kept asking for his Kiddie-Ups Prince Rocking Horse in the plane and it took a while for his mother to appease him.
It is really hard to be traveling with children, especially during long flights. If parents are actually looking forward to vacation time, without someone to help or assist you on the trip, then a vacation is really impossible. To cope with this temporary setback, you have to have this mind-set of flexibility all throughout your travel. With a baby in tow, anything can really happen.
Prepare ahead and pack the essentials, but remember to pack lightly. You probably will not need all those baby furniture with you (such as rocker, a cradle, a seater and such. You must just pick one, like a stroller, to become the all in one piece during your short break. You can probably pack a few diapers to use on the plane, but once in your vacation area, diapers are, I believe readily available.
Have a lot of patience traveling with a little kid. It’s going to be tough but you should still be able to enjoy the respite.
