Toddlers and Play Schools

A friend’s two year old niece is one example of a sponge waiting to burst with so many knowledge. One time, I found her lying down her Mermaids Toddler Bedset in her lovely bedroom, while her mother prepared for our girls’ day out, and she was so enthusiastic about this book she was reading. She can’t still read the words to it but I guess it has been read to her by her parents so many times, she pretty much could tell me the whole story in her limited vocabulary. I mentioned to my friend her daughter is so much ready for school and that she should already grab that opportunity.

There are plenty of schools in our neighborhood that offer curriculums for Toddler learning. If you’re expecting a very constricted, formal type of teaching, well this is nothing like that. The lessons are actually more like “playtime” but these kids do learn more this way at this age. The set up usually involves a lot of games, singing, crafting, and other fun activities, where the child is enjoying while she’s actually picking up something.

Teaching toddlers can be both a fun thing to do, as well as an exhilarating activity. But the best reward is seeing the child progress and learning something simple everyday, such as identifying colors, learning to put away things orderly and behaving properly.
