Healthy Eating with your Toddler

I have a nephew who loves eating out of his Out Of This World Personalized Meal Time Plate Set. It makes feeding him a lot easier since he’s so much more into it. Because a toddler wants nothing more than to play and play, they would also treat food as something to play with. Sometimes, it makes teaching them how to feed themselves so much more difficult. So, to make things easier, his mom got him this meal set and it’s currently working magic.

Other than this “trick”, you can also probably do these things if you’re trying to teach a toddler how to eat right:

1. Make sure that his meal includes any fruit or vegetable every time and make it enticing. Carrots make really tasteful snacks especially if they come with dips. If your child appears to dislike vegetables, don’t despair and keep your patience.

2. Let them be when they eat. This is the best way to teach them to feed themselves and I find that a child is really so much more enthusiastic about doing this, if you let him do it his way. Of course, once in a while you have to correct the child, but generally, letting them be involved and maybe allowing them to pick their own food can help them become more enthusiastic about eating the right kinds of food.

3. Limit sweet intakes. You can serve them treats once in a while but don’t make this a habit of serving it daily.

Here is a sample diet chart for you to follow to help promote good nutrition for your toddler.
