Ruined Friendships
The other day, my daughter and her friend was spending the afternoon quietly in the playroom while my friend and I were baking cookies in the kitchen. Then suddenly, there was crying and screaming from the girls room. When we got there, we found out that one of the princess table & 2 chair set had a broken leg. Apparently, my friend’s daughter tried jumping on it and it broke. This didn’t really please my daughter and now she refuses to talk to her friend.
Just like kids, adults often have trouble with their friendships as well. Often, the reason is much deeper than a broken chair leg, but nevertheless fall-outs do happen. However, for adults, it is much easier to be reasonable than with kids. Reasons for adults falling out from their friendships are varied and things can get complicated than usual. For children, their reasons are often much simpler and direct. They react if they have been wronged and break off the friendship. But then again, they manage to make up with their friends much easier and faster compared to adults since they are capable of easily forgetting what happened.
