Dealing with Death

It is never easy to deal with death, whether you are a parent, brother, daughter, friend or relative. The other day, my sister received bad news while fixing her son’s firefighter hanging rack; it was about her friend’s son dying. He got hit by a car while riding his bike on the neighborhood road. It was devastating for my sister because she was close with the family. I know that it must be awfully hard for the parents of the boy, especially when they expect to go home and see their child running from the room to give them a big hug.

When it comes to dealing with death, there is no simple and prescribed way to go ahead and do this. Anybody that experiences death will go through several stages, ranging from anger, depression, denial etc. All of these are tough to deal with on their own. Hence, it is essential to get a solid support from family and friends. Knowing how to deal with death is essential, but it is also important to allow yourself to grieve over the loss. Don’t hold back and rationalize over everything since there are times when crying about what happened is the best way to deal and express your sadness over the situation.
