Dealing with Strict Bedrest

Recently, I went to visit a friend of mine who was confined to bedrest because of her delicate pregnancy. She has had a miscarriage twice before and the doctor said that this is her last chance. They are doing what they can to make sure that both her and the baby are safe, hence, they decided for her to go on a complete bed rest. Even though it’s tough, it is something that both of them are willing to do to ensure that the baby is safe. I visit her occasionally and even brought her my rainbow pillow that my daughter asked me to “give to Aunt Lyn so she’ll feel better.”

She had to quit a very successful career just to make sure that she won’t undergo miscarriage again. The doctor says that she’s extremely fragile and the stress of the job and other everyday things often leads her to miscarriage. Right now, she’s at three months and running to four with her pregnancy. She’s lucky to have a very supportive husband in, Jack. I hope that they will be blessed with a beautiful child. I cannot think of any other couple who would deserve such a special blessing. They both adore children and have always been great godparents with my own children. We are all keeping our hopes up for the best.
