Although being a mother has its challenges, there are times when it’s just downright creepy. That statement was from  my sister when we were talking about breastfeeding. Apparently, she does not intend to breast feed her yet to be born child because she thinks it’s simply “too weird.” She was looking at my daughter sitting in her time to read bench seat w/ storage when she made the comment. Although I am not altogether surprised, I think she’s stretching it with the proclamation that she’s never going to try it even once. Personally, I found breastfeeding to be a bit unusual at first too, but then I got over it.

I think that most first time mothers just need to look on the bright side of things. Sure, breastfeeding isn’t exactly the most comfortable thing to do but it is definitely a very satisfying action between a mother and child. I also think that babies are much healthier if they breastfeed. Moreover, the bond between mother and child that’s created is also very relevant and special. I don’t think my sister will change her mind anytime soon, but hopefully she’ll reconsider in the end. I know that a lot of things will change once women become mothers. They will realize that there are things that they need to put first even before their own comforts.
