Buckling Up for a Grand Shark Week!

If you love sharks and you adore Discovery Channel, then you know it’s that time of the year where they have, Shark Week. Ever since I before I’ve always had a fascination with sharks, much like my fascination with bags like personalized buckle tote bag I got for the summer. Anyway, Shark Week has almost become a tradition for our family as well. Since my brother is visiting from out of town, we know that we will be staying glued to the television during the programs for the week. It should be fun.

I think that sharks are very majestic creatures, not to mention severely misunderstood. I’m no expert but I think I know enough to conclude that it’s ideal to let people know the common misconceptions about sharks. Like for instance, one common myth is that they are not very smart. The fact is sharks can hunt and locate their prey pretty accurately. They learn over time about the proper way of doing it and where which I think says a lot about their intelligence. Second myth, sharks will eat just about anything. Well, they actually prefer a diet of seals and occasionally branch out to fish and rays once in awhile. A third myth is that they do not get cancer. This myth has caused many people to hunt down sharks and kill them, grinding their bones in hopes of curing cancer, but this is not true at all.
