Depriving Your Child From Food
Now, it might sound silly, but would you deprive your child even if he or she says they are hungry? There is no denying the fact that a lot of parents would never dare to allow their children to go hungry but what if it will help them in the long run? Kids today often feel hungry all the time thanks to their frequent unhealthy diets like eating junk foods that are high on sugar or fructose. Combined with a lack of physical activity and too much time sitting in front of the computer or video games instead of say, playing with a more physical game like kiddie-ups princess rocking horse.
Kids today often complain about getting hungry all throughout the day and most parents give in instead of telling their children wait for dinner. In most instances, the child will feel his or her stomach growl and think that they are hungry, however, it would be best to tell the child that it will go away especially if he or she is a chubby child. A study conducted stated that children who eat throughout the day have poorer health than those who wait for the proper meal times to eat food. Hence, it’s important to ascertain whether your child is simply gorging on food because that’s what she is used to doing or actually in fact, hungry.
