Children and Patience
When it comes to patience, children can on both sides of the spectrum. There are some children that seem to be born to wait and wait some more. They have a knack for waiting for their dino dave blue pillow even if it arrives two weeks or more from when they order it. They wait patiently for you and not go anywhere or talk to strangers as you hurriedly go back inside your home and look for your misplaced car keys. These are the type of kids who wait for the second marshmallow, knowing that they’ll receive an additional treat if they wait patiently for it. However, where there are patient kids, there are also “non-patient” children.
These types of children often cannot sit still. They always want to be on the go or on a road trip are the ones constantly asking “are we there, yet?” over and over again. Children like these are often the ones that can’t seem to sit still especially if they are trying to wait for something. They are always on the go and want things done right at the moment when they want them. Although some might argue that it’s the parent’s responsibility to teach their children “proper” behavior, parents can only do so much. Children have their own personalities and the parent’s influence can only go so far.
