Day of the Week Underpants
Recently, I read this post about a mother suffering from her daughter’s “day of the week” underpants question. There are some children that are simply not picky about anything while others will give you a hard time. For instance, my child is extremely obsessed with fishes so it wasn’t really unusual to have her bug me for a “fish inspired” bedding. Of course, I got her the colorful sea twin sheet set and she loves it. My only problem is that she goes berserk whenever I take it out and wash it. For the past couple of weeks, it was a struggle to let her understand that I need to clean her sheets once in awhile. She would throw a tantrum if she didn’t have her sheet set with her hence, I caved in and simply got her another set. So now, she has two and she can have her sea bedding everyday. I simply alternate it to make sure that both are clean.
It’s definitely a hassle if a child is a little picky but I guess it’s also up to the parent to make the child understand certain things. Obviously, they might simply just grow out of it and pretty soon they will realize how crazy it is to wear a particular or specific underwear at a certain day of the week. Well, at least that’s what I’m hoping they do as they grow older. Here’s to hoping, I guess.
