Sending A Child Off To College

Going off into college is a bit daunting for an early adult, but it’s especially worrisome for the parents. Most of the time, no matter how long a parent has tried preparing themselves for the inevitable, that very day still catches them by surprise. Children heading off to college can be a parent’s ideal goal but the preparations leading to that often extend far back, even when a child is still playing with his classic sports pillow. College education has become quite expensive and many parents are having trouble sending their own children off to college. Usually, it takes a lot of planning and budgeting way before a child even sets foot in high school.

There are tons of helpful tips online about the necessary preparations parents should take when sending their kids off to college. Personally, my husband and I have set aside a special account specifically for my son so that we have enough funding for him when he’s ready to head off to college. We had to make sure to start early since it’s more difficult to start saving up at the last minute or right when your child only has a year or two of highschool to go to.
