Can You Blame Your Daughter for Divorce?

Although it might sound unusual, I read an article that questions whether divorce is caused by daughters. I was tucking in my daughter in her bed and handing her the my rainbow pillow that she loves so much when I remembered reading this article. I know that it sounds absolutely absurd but it’s quite an interesting study that was conducted a couple of years back. The study conducted discovered that parents who had daughter were 5 percent likely to divorce than those who had boys. Moreover, the study also noted that as you add girls to the family, this percentage or likelihood increases even more compared to having boys.

In relation to this study, unmarried couples often consider marriage once they find out that they are having a boy instead of a girl. Although I’m not so sure whether these studies are completely accurate, they do provide a great insight. Regardless of the reasons, outright or understated, might be for these decisions. They do happen and in so many ways, it’s become a part of how our society perceives things today.
