Getting Influenced While Inside the Womb

My son loves to play with his kiddie-ups cowboy rocking horse every single day. Ever since we got it, we’ve noticed that my son has been bugging us to see more horses. I never though that it would have such a big influence on him. In the next couple of weeks we’ll be visiting a nearby ranch so that the kids can have a chance to see horses and other animals up front. I guess, even the smallest exposure can influence a child greatly.

I read in the blog site for NY Times that what happens to the mother and her surroundings can actually affect the child as he or she is born and grows older. Recent studies have shown how parents of babies that are influenced by general situations around them have unknowingly contributed to their child’s success or failure.  Even the little things that mothers do or eat can have an impact on the child’s future. For instance, when mothers eat chocolate during pregnancy, their children are much happier than the others. Moreover, when mothers incorporate food that are rich in omega-3 fatty acids and make sure to take avoid or keep the mercury levels low, their children often end up with better communication and social skills.
