Befriending Someone You Don’t Like in Facebook

Facebook and most other social networking sites have become a common phenomenon for most people. It’s often tough to think that there are still people who are not into networking like Twitter or Facebook. Although these are perfect for getting in touch with old friends or family, it can become a difficult situation if the family member or friend is not exactly someone you would want to be friends with. One of my friends recently told me about her experience in having to make the decision to not befriend her cousin. One time, she was fixing her doggy and doggy full/queen quilt with 2 shams while her son was checking out his Facebook account. His son asked who was Uncle Rodney since he just tried adding him up. My friend was aghast at the thought that this person would have a way to communicate to his son. This was the same person that gave her such a hard time when she and her siblings grew up.

She couldn’t think of anything good that happened when she and her siblings lived under Rodney’s house for a time. In fact, to this day, she is still visibly upset whenever she talks about this. In the end, she’s asked her sons to not add or approve this guy when he tries to befriend them on Facebook. She’s also asked her sons to adjust their security settings to make sure that they won’t be revealing their personal information to complete strangers or people they don’t want.
