Growing Up to Be Just Like Mother or Father

For most of us, when we’re younger, we often like to think that we won’t end up like our parents. Yet, when we become parents ourselves, we often slowly notice that we are becoming more and more like our own parents. Whether it’s the way we dress or the way we talk or teach, our parent’s own personalities somewhat show up in our own. Even though certain things might be different, like that town road twin quilt with sham compared to your own parent’s vintage blankie back in the day; it’s often not unusual to notice similarities in how we sleep or how we do things.

If you are interested in being a little tongue-in-cheek when it comes to your similarities with your parents, then you might want to check out this online site that lets you take old pictures of your parents and have you recreate them. You can post images of the original pictures and then post your own versions, albeit a few generations over. It’s a nice way to remember how things were and also to keep your family affairs front and center. Becoming like out parents isn’t so bad. It’s important to remember that they did raise us and we lived with them for a long time. It’s only natural that their tendencies, likes and dislikes will rub off on us at some point. As parent’s today, we are going to influencing our own children as well.

I think this is a beautiful way to showcase your family and also add a ton of memories for both you and your parent as well as more generations to come.
