Time for Some Family Fun
Thanksgiving is coming up and we’re celebrating this glorious occasion at my sister’s place. The rest of my family will be there so it’s a time for my kids to be able to bond with their cousins and have fun for a couple of days. Ever since we announced this to the kids, they are all beaming and asking us non-stop about when we’re leaving. They haven’t seen their cousins for quite some time so they are all excited to see them. My little daughter has been bugging us about bringing her walk-a-buddies princess coach so that she can show it to her cousin, Ana. Of course, there’s no room for that big thing in our car. We’re still in the process of convincing her that it’s simply too big to carry. Hopefully she does believe us.
One thing I told my kids that we can share with the rest of their cousins is their favorite Mythbusters Science of Sports Kit. We all love watching this show and we’ve made it a family thing to watch every single episode. They love the craziness of Adam and Jamie and of course, enjoy learning all these new things. Even though it might seem a bit geeky, it is a pretty cool, family oriented show. Now, my children are bent in bringing our DVD copies over to the Thanksgiving vacation so that they can watch it together with their cousins. Well, at least, I can easily convince them to bring the DVDs instead of the buggy cart. It’s always fun to take some time off to spend with your family. Whether it’s just doing the homework or maybe joining them for their brand of fun and games; I think it helps to build a much healthier relationship between parent and child.
