Switching Up the Holidays
For most people, there’s no doubt that Holidays are often much anticipated events. However, there are certain times when holidays are not exactly what we expect. Sometimes, they become inconvenient especially when they are sandwiched in between weekdays. The good news is that the government and some families have actually worked on switching up days. It’s like changing or switching your son’s fireman twin sheet set; changing holidays for people who are in the government is quite easy. Of course, they would consider how it affects people who are or have regular work or businesses. More often than not, they change days of actual holidays to make it more convenient to celebrate. For instance, when a certain holiday falls on a day where it is sandwiched in between work days, they often move it closer to the weekend or even during Mondays so that folks can have an extended weekend to relax and celebrate.
There are also families that move their Holiday celebrations into times that are more convenient. There’s a family that celebrates their Thanksgiving and Christmas in one go instead of having two different celebrations within a short time span. If you don’t mind celebrating on the actual holiday, then this quite a great idea. You can easily avoid the rush of the Holidays including busy airports and long lines at the cash register.
