Siblings That Are So Different
There’s no doubt in our minds that siblings often share a lot of the physical attributes in a family. Look around you and your family, you might not like to admit it but yes, you do have that same nose or the same shaped forehead with some of your brothers or sisters. However, there are plenty of scientists that believe that where physical attributes and sometimes intellectual capabilities might be similar among family members or siblings, personality can differ greatly. Have you ever wondered why your older sister is more outgoing or more uptight than you are? Or maybe you’ve always thought about why your son chooses to fix his Classic Sports Twin Sheet Set down to the last detail while your daughter simply jumps out of bed and doesn’t care a thing about whether she’s fixed it or not?
It’s these same behaviors that we might have exhibited as well when we were children. There are various theories as to why siblings who grow up in the same home with the same parents etc. grow up to have such different personalities. Understanding and knowing why your brother or sister has a different point of view than you do is important. This also goes true for your children as they grow up to be adults themselves. They will have different point of views and totally different beliefs. It’s up to you as a parent to learn and understand why this is so.
