Santa in 2010
Every little child is fascinated with the thought of Santa Claus. Even though most parents might think that this seems like a far cry for their children, there is no denying that most children in today’s modern world still like to believe that there is a Santa that will crawl down the chimney on Christmas Eve to deliver their gifts. Whether it’s that Princess Jewelry Cabinet that they want or maybe that shiny new video game console. Kids like the thought that there is a Santa.
There’s nothing wrong with parents reinforcing this idea, but how would you feel if you could bring Santa just a bit closer to reality by letting your child receive an actual text message from jolly St. Nick? There’s actually a group (which benefits a good cause) that would send a text message to your child from Santa for just a small fee. I had a bit of mixed reaction with this one especially since I thought that it was cute but at the same time I hated the idea of fast-forwarding Santa to the 20th century. I guess my idea of Santa will always be this red guy in suit living in the North Pole with his elves and toy factory. Not the Santa that goes online, text messages children or someone who even surfs the net. What about you, what do you think of this?
