What to Say When Saying Goodbye to Your Children

Perhaps the hardest part for most parents is saying goodbye to their own children. Knowing that they won’t be around to see all the crucial things that happens in their child’s lives. This is utterly heartbreaking for both the parent and their children. As a parent, it must be hard to think about one day not being able to see your little girl or teen pick out herĀ  Little Miss Matched Peace Love Pillow Pink Peace Sign for her room. Or maybe share some girl bonding time with each other.

Elizabeth Edwards, wife of former Presidential candidate, John Edwards; recently passed away. Back then, she was interviewed and said that she was writing a letter of sorts to leave to her children especially since she knows she won’t be around to see them grow up or grow older. There are times when only a mother can provide the right advice but sometimes situations in life won’t permit this. Children have to cope and the mother has to accept the fact that she might not be there for all the important stuff in their child’s life. Personally, just thinking about all the things I would like to tell my own children, makes my head spin. I feel like there’s not enough time and I’ll never get done.
