Would You Give This Doll to Your Child?
Parents are scrambling to get the best Christmas present for their child these days. It’s a hectic week and I can only imagine will become much crazier in the next few days. Personally, I’ve done several of my Christmas shopping way early to ensure that I can avoid the Christmas rush. Of course, I still have to make some last minute shopping trips getting items for my friends and additional stuffers for my children. I was looking to buy this Princess Kid’s Sign for my daughter when I chanced upon this really odd doll. It showcases how women give birth!
Now, part of me is thinking, it’s cool since we can help our daughters understand the miracle of childbirth. However, on the other hand, I’m thinking that it’s too graphic and children shouldn’t be exposed to these things until they are much older. The doll actually has a small opening the vagina and inside there’s a small little baby doll. You can pull it out to simulate childbirth and even clip the baby doll to one of the mother doll’s nipples to showcase breastfeeding. Now, if you’re a parent, you might think this is brilliant or simply distasteful. Personally, I don’t think I want to get this doll for my child. I think there’s a time and season for her to know everything she needs to know about childbirth and not when she’s only 6 years old.
