Eating Disorders with Your Young Ones?

I recently read this article about how children, mostly girls, as young as three years old, already have a radical image of themselves and the need to be thin.  This has many causes, but mostly it has to do with the media and how it portrays “normal” body size.  Study after study concludes that the young children of our country has a very skewed image of their body.  Something needs to be done or else our future generations will suffer.  This includes all types of eating disorder as well.

If you thought eating disorders were something only older teens and adults might be at risk for, consider this startling statistic from a new report on eating disorders and kids from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP): From 1999 to 2006, the number of hospitalizations for eating disorders among children younger than 12 years old increased by 119 percent.

And when they get older, they can check out some teen bedding when they get a chance.
