Goggles Banned at School
If your child is fond of swimming then this would concern you. Oxfordshire County Council’s healthy and safety brigade said that a pair could “snap” onto a child’s face too hard, injuring them. They fear that children will hurt themselves in the pool while swimming with goggles on. Well, here’s one they stated that if children wear goggles down in the pool, with blocked peripheral vision can bump into each other and gets injured. That’s one of their reason but they still have unrevealed major reason why they banned it. Some parents actually think that this was a crazy idea because chlorine can also ruin the eyes of the children with longer exposure. We all know that chlorine is toxic right? I have learned that chlorine can cause a little irritation to the eyes but if the child is allergic to chlorine he/she might experience more severe irritation in the form of swelling, itching, burning, and redness of the eyes. And why would Oxfordshire County Council’s healthy and safety brigade allow that to the children? Well I think before they made this decision I think they have studied it well. We just have to abide the rules. Also, they added that the children can use goggles provided they have been advised by their doctors. What do you think about it?
